Consciousness – Limestone Brain Interactive Lighting

Overview

Indiana University Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences commissioned interactive light installation: “Consciousness”.

Provides night-time interactive lighting of Amy Brier’s “The Human Brain” 2013 anatomically correct limestone brain, the largest limestone brain in the world. The brain and lighting commissions celebrated the 125th anniversary of the department. They are visible from the street and from nearby fields and provide a day and nighttime landmark for the department.

LED lighting and interactive elements illuminate the brain in slowly changing vivid colors that come alive when approached. Colors change seasonally and for special occasions.
